Sunday Checklist

For the Setup Lead running the room. Print this and keep it to hand.

If you’re Setup Crew, you don’t need to work through this. Whoever is leading the room does, and they’ll tell you what they need from you.

Arriving

• Everything out of the car, nothing left in the boot
• Equipment carried in and put roughly where it belongs before anything is set up
• Areas handed out, everyone knows what they’ve got

Setting up

• Hope Terminal in position, powered, laptop on
• Speakers up, positioned, connected, settings checked
• Instruments, mics and IEM set up for whoever is using them
• Power run safely, cables routed so nobody trips

Before the team needs it

• Every area tested, not just plugged in
• Every area accounted for, nothing assumed done
• Worship, visual and audio told the room is ready
• Anything missing or broken reported to the lead now, not later
• Spare batteries and spare cables to hand

If it goes wrong

• Stop and make it safe first, fix second
• 30 seconds max before you stop trying and get help
• Diagnose before swapping at random: the unit itself, the cable, or the socket?
• Tell someone. Never hide it.

Packing down

• Powered off in order before anything is unplugged
• Cables rolled over-under, not looped round an arm
• Everything back in its own bag or place, nothing loose
• Room left as we found it, nothing on the floor

Before the car leaves

• Every bag and case accounted for, counted not assumed
• Walk the room one last time, including behind the stage and under the table
• Anything broken written in the incident log
• Two-minute debrief: one thing that went well, one to fix
