For Leaders and Trainers
How the levels are meant to work
Section titled “How the levels are meant to work”Every level page has two parts:
- Trusted with: what someone can be left to do alone at that level, and what we expect them to do well.
- Modules: the training that gets them there.
A level is a description of what someone can be trusted with. Someone working towards Level 1 is already setting up bits of the room with someone beside them. Note that Level 1 is not about doing it all alone. They’re not Setup Crew until they can take what they’re handed and finish it, pack down included, without help.
How training actually works
Section titled “How training actually works”Here’s a guideline on how to train people effectively:
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| I do | They watch me, and I say out loud what I’m doing and why |
| We do | They drive, I work beside them and talk them through it |
| You do | They drive, I’m in the room and quiet |
